The Athens Racing Team is a subdivision of ARR whereby a diverse group of athletes from all age groups are committed to competitive racing in local and national running events. We train together, encourage one another, and strive to improve in distances ranging from the mile to the marathon!

ARR members can qualify for the Athens Racing Team by submitting a qualifying time based on their age on race day. To qualify for the team, one must run have a time of 70% of their age-graded on a USATF certified course (Qualifying Standards below). Qualifying times are valid for two years from the initial qualifying race. Click the “Team Application” button below to submit your qualifying race time today!

We are an official USATF Certified Team! We compete at team events allowing our members to score points as a squad and race against top running clubs in the nation.

Crush your tempo and speed workouts with fellow teammates! Hosted by the team coach, Al Jeffers on Wednesdays at 5:30 AM at the Clark Central Track.
